RF spectrum is a national resource requiring regulation and mapping to mitigate radio spectrum pollution and to maximize the benefit of usable radio spectrum.
Every country has a regulatory authority designated to manage the RF spectrum by means of licensing. Prior to the use of any frequency band by any radio operator, it is mandatory that the use is registered with the designated authority and a license obtained.
